LogoEvolve exists to make visual-identity history accurate, useful, and enjoyable. This policy describes how profiles are researched, sourced, and corrected.

Source hierarchy

We prioritize official company announcements, identity standards, original designers and agencies, trademark records, dated archival material, and direct interviews. Reputable reporting, books, museums, and established design publications provide secondary context. Community-edited resources can help locate leads but should not be the sole authority for disputed claims.

Fact and interpretation

Profiles distinguish documented facts from visual analysis or reasonable editorial interpretation. When a popular story cannot be supported, we label it as disputed, attribute it, or leave it out. We avoid presenting logo folklore as established history.

Artwork and dates

Logo dates can differ by announcement, trademark filing, first publication, market rollout, product use, or later standardization. Where those distinctions matter, we explain them. Artwork is attributed to its available source, and a displayed rendition may represent an era rather than every contemporaneous variation.

Corrections

Readers, designers, agencies, archivists, companies, and rights holders may submit corrections through the Contact form. Please include the page, claim, proposed correction, and supporting source. We review substantive corrections and update material when the evidence warrants it.

Commercial independence

Advertising, affiliate relationships, sponsorships, gifts, and access do not purchase favorable conclusions or control historical findings. Material relationships will be disclosed clearly as described in the Affiliate Disclosure.

AI-assisted work

Tools may assist with organization, transcription, comparison, drafting, or research discovery. They are not treated as authoritative sources. Published factual claims should be checked against cited material, and final editorial responsibility remains with LogoEvolve.
